House Rules

Check-in is anytime after 4:00 PM. Early check-in may be available — please check with us in advance to confirm availability and any applicable fees.

Check-out is at 10:30 AM sharp. Unauthorized late check outs will incur an additional nights fee, as our cleaners have very tight schedules.

Quiet hours are from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be respectful of our neighbors during these hours. Excessive noise may result in fines or the cancellation of your reservation.

Only the guests listed in your reservation are allowed on the property unless approved by us ahead of time. Additional guests will incur extra charges.

The exterior of the property is monitored with security cameras. We also use NoiseAware sensors both indoors and outdoors. These devices alert us only when noise levels are consistently above a set threshold — normal conversation won't trigger an alert.

Loud music is not allowed on the property to maintain a peaceful environment for the neighbors, and quiet hours are from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please keep noise levels down during these times. Failure to do so will result in a $500 fine and/or immediately removal from the property.

Smoking is not allowed inside the home.

Any cleanup involving vomit, feces, or blood will result in additional cleaning fees.

Pets must be approved prior to your stay. A $100 pet fee covers up to two pets.

The person who booked the reservation is responsible for all guests, any damages, and all incidents during the stay.

Smart thermostats are available for your use, with temperature limits set for efficiency. Please keep windows and doors closed when using the heating or A/C.

Pool Rules:

No lifeguard is on duty — swim at your own risk.

No glass is allowed in or near the pool area.

The pool can be heated upon request — fees are based on current natural gas costs.

Spa Heating is always complimentary :)

Pool heating takes up to 10 hours to reach 82°F and must be requested in advance — ideally at the time of booking. Payment must be made before heating begins. Any tampering with pool equipment will result in a $1000 fine.

The space
Our stylish tri-level home in San Diego is all about comfort, good vibes, and a little bit of luxury. Downstairs, you've got a full-on hangout zone-complete with a game room, wet bar, and direct access to the backyard. Outside, take a dip in the pool or soak in the heated jacuzzi while soaking up those amazing mountain, lake, and ocean views.

The master suite is a total treat, with a deep soaking tub that feels like your own private spa. Every bedroom has a Smart TV and plenty of closet space, so everyone can feel right at home.

Guest access
You’ll have the entire estate to yourself, including the gym, pool, entertainment pavilion, laundry room, and peaceful verandas. Enjoy full privacy and exclusive access to everything during your stay.

✨We follow enhanced cleaning protocols between stays, with extra attention to high-touched surfaces.

✨The home has central heating and AC to keep you comfortable year-round.

✨This is a family-friendly neighborhood, so please keep noise down during quiet hours, especially at night.

✨Hosting an event? Let us know in advance—as approval and extra fees apply.

✨Pool heating is available up to 82°F for $200/day minimum (based on current SDGE rates so please inquire about pricing prior to booking). Spa heating is always free 🙂

✨A $100 pet fee per pet applies (up to 2 small dogs) to cover deep cleaning after checkout.

✨After 14 guests, there’s a $50 per night fee for each additional guest.

Neighborhood overview
San Carlos is one of those San Diego neighborhoods that locals love to keep to themselves. It's tucked away in the hills and home to one of the city’s most iconic natural spots—Cowles Mountain. This peak stands at 1,591 feet, making it the highest point within San Diego’s city limits. On a clear day, you’ll catch sweeping views of the ocean, downtown, and even Mexico from the top!

If you're into hiking or just want a good excuse to get outside, Cowles is a must. The main trailhead is only about a mile and a half away (near Navajo and Golfcrest) and has parking and restrooms. The hike itself is about three miles round-trip and climbs 1,000 feet, so bring water and sunscreen—there’s not much shade, but the views are totally worth it.

This area has a laid-back, outdoorsy vibe and is super convenient for exploring San Diego. You're close to nature, but also not far from shops, restaurants, and fun spots for the whole family. Just a few minutes away, you’ve got Mission Trails Regional Park—over 8,000 acres of trails, hills, and Lake Murray, which is perfect for paddleboarding, kayaking, or a peaceful walk by the water.
Getting around
If you're up for a bit of a challenge, try the “Secret Stairs” in La Mesa's Mt. Nebo/Windsor Hills neighborhood. It’s a fun little workout with great views. And if you're traveling with kids, Harry Griffen Park is always a hit—huge grassy spaces, a playground, and even live music in the summer.

For those who love the water, Lake Murray is just a short drive away with options to bike, walk, or rent a little boat for the afternoon (don’t forget your fishing license if you’re casting a line!). No license? No worries—Santee Lakes is only about seven miles away and perfect for a laid-back day of fishing or just soaking in the sun.
